I love love love wontons, egg rolls, and gyoza dumplings and these wontons make an easy snack to keep in the fridge for later as well
Cream Cheese and Chive Wontons
- 1 pkg Wonton Wrappers
- 1 8oz pkg Cream Cheese
- 1 TB sugar
- 1 tsp Garlic Salt
- 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
- 1/2 cup chopped Green Onion/Chives
Mix together cream cheese, sugar, garlic salt, onion powder, and chopped green onion until fully combined.
To assemble the wontons, you can just simply place a small dollop of the filling in one corner and fold into a triangle, wetting the edges so they stay crimp together. You can also pick up the opposite corners and bring them to meet at a point in the center as I have done here.
These wontons can be placed in the freezer for later, or fried for 2-3 minutes until golden brown! Serve with Sweet Chili sauce (we use Mae Ploy). Makes 25 wontons.
