It’s been a busy, crazy past few months for me so I’ve been slacking on posting recipes. Part of my New Year’s Resolution is to post these recipes that I create so here I go. Naan is a flatbread that kind of resembles a pita and it is Delicious! I love having it on hand to snack on or use in a variety of ways. This is by far one of the best. Impressive and easy are the best combo, am I right?
If naan sounds like a foreign ingredient, it is usually located near the fresh baked bread in the grocery store. I’ve also seen it by tortillas and if you can’t find it, store bought pizza crust can work as well.
Barbecue Chicken Naan Pizza
- 2 large (or 3-4 small) Naan flatbreads
- 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 Teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 1/2 cups Barbecue Sauce (I use Head & Country Hickory Smoke Barbecue Sauce)
- 2 cups Grilled Chicken Breast (sliced)
- 2 cups Mozzerella
- 1/4 cup Red Onion
- 1 Tablespoon Parsley
- 1/4 cup Sriracha (optional)
Preheat oven to 400. Brush olive oil lightly over the top of the naan. Sprinkle garlic salt evenly across. Divide one cup of barbecue sauce and spread equally in the middle of the naan, leaving an inch around the borders unsauced.
Spread half of the cheese onto the middle of the naan. Layer the chicken and onion evenly across each pizza and then cover with remaining cheese. Drizzle remaining barbecue across.
To make the barbecue sauce easy to drizzle across the top of the pizzas, microwave in a bowl for 15 seconds before use.
Place on sheet pan and bake for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly. Drizzle with sriracha (if desired) and fresh chopped parsley.
Serves 4-6! Enjoy!
